Access 6

Access 6 is an exciting new EU funded programme, being led by the Irish Exporters Association, Northern Ireland Food & Drink and Scotland Food & Drink.

It has been funded by the ERDF under INTERREG IVA for regional development in the border regions of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.

The Programme aims to provide extensive training and mentorship for Food and Drink SMEs in these border regions, and develop new routes to market in the UK and international markets.

This project will form six clusters of Food and Drink SMEs and provide them with the marketing skill-sets, professional marketing assistance and logistical support to successfully supply and trade in the main UK and international markets.

THE PROGRAMME AIMS TO:

Establish 6 Cross Border clusters consisting of 90 Food and Drink SME's in total. These Clusters will be based in the UK, France, Benelux, Germany, Scandinavia and North America.

Find New Routes to Market for Cluster SMEs by targeting certain channel operators and involve them as Channel Partners to potentially result in listings for the SMEs.

Appoint mentors across the 6 clusters to support the SMEs in a wide range of training & development activity.

Increase competitive advantage among cluster SME's by exchanging knowledge, shared learnings and devising joint solutions.

Establish a cross border logistics framework for ease of access to new markets and allow for economies of scale.
