IEA Brings Delegation to London for Speciality Stores Tour

On Tuesday 7th of September, the IEA brought a delegation of food companies on the Channel Clusters programme to London to visit 6 speciality food stores.

A delegation of food companies from Wales also took part in this study tour which involved the hiring of a coach to drive the delagation around central London for the day. The stores visited were: Fortnum and Masons Selfridges Wholefoods Union Market John Lewis Foods Hall (Oxford St) Source Market (Kings Cross).

This was an excellent opportunity for Irish producers to meet and talk to potential buyers at the point of purchase; to do market research regarding competitiors and to meet and network with other Irish and Welsh participants on the programme.

The Irish attendees included: Joe Clinton; Clinton Foods; Mag Kirwan, Goatsbridge Trout Farm; Imelda Cahillane, St Tola Goats Cheese; Michael Kyle, Kyle's Kitchen; John Dowling, JM Foodservice; James O'Murthuile, Dromoland Game and Ciaran Young of Blue Haven Foods. Godfrey Lydon and Anita O'Grady of the IEA also attended.
