This Seminar took place on Thursday 9th June in Grant Thornton's head office at 24-26 City Quay, Dublin 2.

The seminar took place between 8am to 10am and a continental breakfast was served.  The event was free to members and the cost to non- members was €15.

Background: This seminar provided a unique opportunity to learn about Russia – the largest country in the world geographically, the ninth largest by population and eleventh by GDP. Key international stores have opened in major cities and retail growth has been phenomenal over the last ten years. Like the rest of the world, there have been recent economic challenges, but with its vast energy resources Russia is well placed to continue its remarkable growth. It takes determination, flexibility, stamina and hard work, but success in Russia is achievable.

Keynote Speaker: Our guest speaker was, Chris Fussey, who works for Russianality, a firm specialising in strategic business development and planning for small to medium sized businesses wishing to enter the Russian market. Chris has 15 years’ experience developing business in Russia, in market sectors including domestic applicances, renewable energy, construction, professional services, packaging, food and software.
