Access 6 First Workshop

Access 6 will launch its first export workshop on Thursday September 12th 2013 in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan, Ireland as part of the overall cluster workshop series.

Access 6 will be running a series of 12 food and drink export workshops between September 2013 and March 2014. These will take place throughout the programme areas in Ireland’s border counties, Northern Ireland and Western Scotland and will be open to any food and drink SME from this region.

This first workshop will focus on export skills needed for today’s market with an afternoon session based on exporting to the UK- London and South East England.


Prgramme for the day will include:

09:00 –Registration and networking

09:30-13:00 – Export skills workshop


13:45 – 16:00 – Market focus session: London and South East England


Each workshop will consist of two sessions:

The morning will be an interactive session aimed at equipping you with the knowledge and tools you will need to be a successful exporter.

How to choose the right target markets to start in or build your overseas sales

Finding the right routes to market and customers

Deciding which products you are going to sell and at what price

Export selling and marketing tools

Gearing up internally eg getting paid, logistics, managing risks


By the end of the morning you should be ready to draw up your own personal export action plan and understand how to take full advantage of the Access 6 export e-learning programme and tools.

Each afternoon session will focus on a different Cluster market so you can gain insight into opportunities, routes to market, potential customers etc. In our first session on 12th September, the spotlight will be on London & South East England.

Please note- This event is open to all food and drink SME based within the border counties of Ireland, Northern Ireland or Western Scotland.
