FCCA Stand at National Ploughing Championships 2013

The Irish Exporters Association had a stand at this years National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co. Laois. The FCCA companies were given the opportunity to take part on our stand on one of the three days to launch their new products and their existing range.

Tuesday 24th September

On Tuesday we had Newgrange Gold and Ballyburden Meats on the stand.

Ballyburden Meats were cooking up samples of their award winning burgers, which are fully traceable from the Ballyburden farms to their butcher shops in Cork. I think it is safe to say the burgers were a big hit with the public as there was a constant que at our stand!

Newgrange Gold were providing samples of their rapeseed and camelina oil ranges. Their chilli and garlic oil just won three star Gold Taste Award at the Speciality Fine Food Fair in London and their Garden Herb Rapeseed Oil won one gold star Great Taste Award also.

John Whelan, CEO of the Irish Exporters Association popped by the stand also to experience first hand the progres the companies have made throughout their FCCA programme.

Wednesday 25th September

On Wednesday we had Clonarn Clover and McCormacks Farms on the stand.

Mc Cormack's Farm were handing out samples of their delicious fresh herbs and salad leaves to the Ploughing attendees to sample. Jean Blaise and Christian Mc Manus of Mc Cormack's were on the stand for the day and did a great job of informing the public about their company.

Clonarn Clover were cooking up omlettes from their new range of liquid egg products. The liquid egg product takes the hassle out of breaking eggs for the consumer and is being very well received by the public.

On Wednesday we were lucky enough to have Minister for Agriculture, Food and The Marine drop by our stand, Simon Coveney. Mr. Coveney spoke with the two companies about their products and even helped Clonarn Clover with a spot of omlette making!

Thursday 26th September

On Thursday we had Clonarn Clover and Hogans Farm on the stand.

Hogan's Farm were allowing the public to sample their delicious range of cooked poultry products. Niamh Craughan did a great job on the stand informing the public about the company and where they could buy the product.

On behalf of the companies on the FCCA programme and ourselves, we would like to thank the organisers of the Ploughing Championships for such a successful and positive event!
